About The Project
A challenge turned into opportunity when a Master Plan made for a piece of land that is looking at Makkah.
A holistic urbanism development, looking at revitalizing the area around Masjidil Haram In Makkah. Jabal Khandama spreads over 90.95 hectares of land that is physically challenging. With the terrain ranging from 370 meters to 610 meters, the site overlooks into the city of Makkah on its west and provides great opportunity to create visual corridors to the Masjidil Haram and Kaabah, the most sacred place in Islam. The Master Plan acknowledged the challenges that lies in creating a spatial plan that meets the need of an urban development while balancing to retain its topography that has become a memorable image for the city of Makkah.
