Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is inarguably Malaysia's most elegant airport and is also one of the most successful regional air hubs in South-East Asia. The airport currently handles up to 37 million passengers per year, with the flexibility to increase to 100 million passengers with subsequent development phases.The terminal design features glazing on all sides with views to the outside, all planned underneath a spectacular series of tree-shaped canopy roof-forms with skylights which provide filtered daylight. Conceptualised as an "airport in the forest, forest in the airport", the design is set amongst lush landscaping throughout, thus establishing a memorable experience with the highest levels of comfort for passengers. The airport is considered one of the world's best airport today.
